![]() | I am looking forward to my 3rd year at Live Oak Elementary. After growing up in the East Bay, I attended college at UCLA before moving back to the Bay Area to obtain my teaching credential and M.A. in Education at UC Berkeley. Recently, I also obtained my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from JFK University. Prior to Live Oak, I taught 1st and 5th grade for 7 years in the Hayward Unified School District. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to different places, going to yoga classes, trying out new restaurants in the Bay Area, and watching college football and basketball. When I am at home, I like to read and spend time with my cat, Cheeto. I am very excited to meet a new group of 5th graders this year. My teaching philosophy is to provide a rigorous and challenging curriculum that is interactive and engaging. I focus on providing students with the organizational skills and strategies that offer preparation for middle school. Together, we will use energy and enthusiasm combined with high classroom expectations to make this an amazing and successful year! Michelle Wong |

![]() | I am extremely excited for the new school year here at Live Oak! This is my third year here as a 5th grade teacher. Prior to working for SRVUSD, I taught 5th grade in Livermore, and in the metro Detroit area, where I am originally from. My philosophy of teaching is one in which encourages an active environment, where children are able to learn not only from me, but also from each other and self discovery. I believe that the main purpose of education is to provide students with a foundation to help them become life-long learners. I make it my job to help the students realize how much they can learn outside of the classroom, and help them achieve confidence and success as independent learners. Emily Redman |

I continue to be excited to be a part of the fifth grade team here at Live Oak! I grew up in the San Ramon Valley and went to high school in this district. I graduated from University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in History and got my credential from the Cal State Teach program. Last year I completed my Masters in Education Curriculum. Previous to being at Live Oak, I taught fifth grade for a year at Highlands Elementary in Concord, and before that I taught 4th and 5th grades for five years at a private school in Antioch. I am grateful everyday that I get the opportunity to be a teacher! Amy Pult |

![]() | I am eagerly anticipating my first year as a Live Oak Golden Eagle. Prior to joining the Live Oak faculty, I taught fifth grade for four years and fourth grade for one year in Walnut Creek. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from UCLA, a Juris Doctor Degree from UC Davis Martin Luther King School of Law, and a teaching credential from Cal State University of Fresno. I grew up in California, but I have also lived in Hawaii and Virginia. When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, reading, a variety of sports (both from the couch and on the court, etc,) and traveling. My education philosophy focuses upon the unique talents of each child. Furthermore, as a lifelong learner, I hope to inspire my students to seek out new learning opportunities over the course of their lifetimes and always “Carpe diem!” Kimberley Moore |
